The origin of bengal cat
Bengal Kitten for sale free delivery. The Bengal breed was developed by crossing domestic cats with the Asian leopard cat (Prionailurus bengalensis), a small wild felid native to Asia. The goal was to create a domestic cat with the distinctive coat pattern and wild appearance of the leopard cat.
The foundation of the Bengal breed can be attributed to the work of Jean Mill, a cat breeder in California, USA. In the 1960s, Mill began experimenting with breeding domestic cats with leopard cats to create a breed with a wild look but a domestic temperament.
The first generation of hybrids resulting from the leopard cat-domestic cat crosses are referred to as F1 Bengals. These cats have a high percentage of leopard cat genetics and often exhibit more wild-like behaviors. Bengal Kitten for sale free delivery
